This week we look back to 1986, and a quick video of Gatlinburg. This was taken from the roof of the Howard Johnson Hotel tower, which is now the Greystone. Notice there is no aquarium, and the old Greystone Lodge is still on site where the aquarium and parking garage are now. You’ll also see a 10 year old version of me taking pictures with a polaroid camera. Back in the ’80s, you could access the roof of the tower via the elevator, but access has been restricted since at least the early ’90s.
