So, you may be wondering, what in the world does ‘Last Chance Power Drive’ even mean? In order to understand, first I have been listening to Bruce Springsteen music for as long as I have had a radio. In the song ‘Born To Run’, one of the lines is as follows:
“The highway’s jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive“
Obviously, Born To Run is probably the biggest hit Bruce has ever had, but something else speaks to me about that song as well. Roughly eight lines before the one mentioned above, Bruce gives us the following:
“Beyond the Palace hemi-powered drones scream down the boulevard”
A common theme among the road trip posts you will see on this blog, is that most of them will occur in Hemi powered vehicles from Dodge. So, when trying to pick a name for the website, I gravitated towards Born To Run, and it came pretty quickly.
